New Training for Special Police Forces (SPF)
Ramallah, 20th December - Fourteen Special Police Forces (SPF) officers just completed a 4-days training course, which took place in the premises of the SPF Central Force, located in Ramallah.
In a first module, these fourteen SPF Public Order and Tonfa trainers focused on different kinds of handcuffing, body searches, control and arrest techniques, as well as communication skills within a defensive tactics scheme, under the supervision of the chief of the SPF Central Force, Mj. Ismael HANAYSHEH.
In a second module, the same SPF team participated twice in a Cooper test that took place in the Majed Assad Football Stadium of Al-Bireh. The aim of this test (which measures how far a person can run within 12 minutes, according to age-groups) was to check if it can be integrated in a future physical training plan for all SPF officers to improve their global physical aptitude and condition.
The Special Police Forces (SPF) are the main anti-riot and crowd-control unit of the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) and function according to the highest operational standards in its field.
