Deputy Head of Mission

Dr Katja Dominik (Germany) was appointed as Deputy Head and Chief of Staff of the EUPOL COPPS on 21 July 2018.

Before joining EUPOL COPPS, she has been working from 2017 as Head of Executive Division in the CSDP Mission EULEX Kosovo, from 2011 to 2017 as EULEX international judge and from 2002 to 2011 as district court judge in Germany.

In her national and international career, she tried cases of economic crime, war crimes, organised crime, and corruption.

As member of the technical working group for the implementation of the Brussels’ dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, she was engaged in the integration of Kosovo/Serbian judicial staff into the Kosovo judiciary. From 2012 until 2016, she has been member of the Human Rights Review Panel in Kosovo.

In January 2019, she was appointed to the roster of International Judges to the UN Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

Katja Dominik holds a PhD in Law from the University of Göttingen, Germany.
