EUPOL COPPS Personal Data Protection Policy

EUPOL COPPS is committed to the protection of personal data.

EUPOL COPPS’ policy on data protection is based on EU law, specifically, Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 and Decision No 1247/2002/EC.

In line with the principles set out in this Regulation, EUPOL COPPS has put in place internal mechanisms to govern the way personal data is treated and managed. These mechanisms include the use of privacy statements, which ensure conformity with the EUPOL COPPS privacy policy, and indicate the purpose for which personal data is processed as well as the means used to do so.
