On Thursday, the conclusion of two EUPOL COPPS capacity building activities within the Ministry of Justice was marked at a ceremony in Ramallah in the presence of the Palestinian Minister of Justice, H.E. Ali Abu Diak and his Deputy, H.E. Mohammad Abu Sundus.

 “The Ministry of Justice is one of the Mission’s main counterparts. We have a very good and fruitful cooperation and we support the Ministry in several ways: on legislation and policies, on institutional development and through capacity building activities. Today we mark the conclusion of two recent capacity building activities involving the Ministry’s senior and middle management”, said the Acting Head of Mission, Mr. Giovanni Galzignato.

The capacity building activities included a ‘Crisis Management Training’ of the Senior Management of the Ministry of Justice, equipping the participants to be better prepared for and deal with and emerging crises; as well as a ‘Techniques and Strategies of Communication Training’ for the Senior and Middle Management, providing up-to-date methods to communicate internally and externally.

 “From what I have heard, the management staff were very committed and participated actively. I would like to thank them and everyone else, including my own staff, who contributed to the completion of these trainings. We look forward to a continued successful cooperation with the Ministry”, concluded the Acting Head of Mission.
