EUPOL COPPS PPIO and Community Policing Teams team up with PCP for a Community Policing Activity at a School in Beit Jala, Bethlehem
EUPOL COPPS CP and PPIO teams joined the Bethlehem District Mobile Police Station (MPS) for another Community Oriented Policing activity at the Latin Patriarchate School/St. Francis Javier Building in the Beit Jala neighborhood of Bethlehem. The Mission and the PCP were warmly received by School Director Ms. Mary Zreineh and her staff of teachers for the approx. 450 pupils in the establishment. The PCP MPS commander – Lt.Col Mohammed Abu Snene – and his crew staged a specifically tailored CP outreach for children explaining the role and function of the Police in the society. A joint PCP/EUPOL COPPS distribution of visibility items for approx. 150 pupils formed part of the visit. Another constructive example of the PCP’s concrete implementation of the CP concept, illustrating the positive bond between the Police and the Palestinian society.
