Acting Head of Mission meets with the Head of Palestinian Bar Association

On 24 January 2024 the AHOM Karin Limdal met with the Head of Palestinian Bar Association (PBA), Mr. Fadi Abbas. She emphasized the importance of lawyers as guardians of the criminal justice proceedings. While acknowledging the extremely difficult situation she asked for PBA representation in the Juvenile working group and for the mission to engage with the female network for leadership.

While Mr. Abbas said that the severe restriction in freedom of movement deeply affect the judicial sector and stressed that the situation of the colleagues in Gaza is currently PBA’s main priority he pledges for continued cooperation with EUPOL COPPS.
