EUPOL COPPS delivers Portable Exhaust Gas Analysers to Palestinian Police
EUPOL COPPS Mission delivered on Thursday June 24, 2021 three Portable Exhaust Gas Analysers to Palestinian Civil Police to support them in detecting exceeded release of harmful emissions.
The devices, that were delivered to the PCP’S departments of Tourism and Antiquities Police and Environmental Crime Unit, can measure whether the exhaust gases emitted by any vehicle are within the permitted levels stipulated by both national and European laws.
In addition to examining various gasses, the equipment can also be used to search for any leak in the vehicle’s exhaust system.
The Portable Exhaust Gas Analysers were handed over to PCP by dr. Katja Dominik, the Acting Head of the EUPOL COPPS and project manager Henrik Forssblad.
“Measurement of car engines exhaust pollutants emissions is very important because of their harmful effects on the environment . they can have detrimental impact on human health and the environment. These equipment that were delivered today will contribute in reducing the emissions so that we can enjoy a cleaner environment,” said Dr. Dominik.
