Society is key workshop organised in Hebron
Boosting ties between Palestinian police and civil society is one of the core themes EUPOL COPPS and the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) work together on.
To enhance sustainable and structural cooperation between the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) and Civil Society Organisations (CSO’s), EUPOL COPPS organsied the “Society is Key” workshop in Hebron on 19-20 January.
Topics included the role of the CSO’s and other forms of society representatives
in the Palestinian society, police engagement with community, Community Policing models, cooperation between PCP, cooperation between PCP and CSO’s and other society representatives (e.g., Influencers/Panels), scenarios and problem-solving collaborations and core values.
Among the main outcomes of the workshop is fostering collaboration across all PCP Districts to further enhance the implementation of Community Policing principles and the cooperation with the CSOs.
