EUPOL COPPS Strengthens Leadership and Training Capacity of Palestinian Civil Police
To enhance leadership and training capacities of the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) District Commanders and The Heads of the Specialised Departments, EUPOL COPPS organised a workshop on 9 December, in Ramallah.
The event brought together around 40 senior PCP police officers and EUPOL COPPS advisors who delivered presentations providing the participants with key information on mechanisms and challenges on training, needs, coordination, and responsibilities. Coordination and command role was included in the agenda of the event.
The Chief of the Palestinian Civil Police, Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, attended the opening of the event.
The audience was also informed about practical solutions on training through real life examples from Nablus and Bethlehem districts.
The Senior Police Adviser for Training at EUPOL COPPS delivered a lecture on the training cycle and the responsibilities of the senior management and training coordinators to enhance professionalism, underscoring their crucial role on effective leadership and management.
This workshop responds to the PCP's needs on continuous cooperation with EUPOL COPPS following recent establishment of new committees for Projects, Training, and Institutional Development.
