“So far we never had a communication strategy”

“So far we never had a communication strategy. The strategy I am presenting today, is the first of its kind in the Ministry of Justice”, explained Reem Awadallah in one of the final workshops of a training programme aiming at capacitating Palestinian judicial institutions to draft communication strategies.

The Mission’s Press and Public Information Office is in lead of the programme and Ms Awadallah is one of the ten communication practitioners attending it. They come from some of the most influential judicial institutions: the Palestinian Ministry of Justice, the Attorney General’s Office and the High Judicial Council.

Completion of the communication strategies is a milestone in the justice sector’s effort to advance its communication to the Palestinian public. When the strategies are successfully implemented, citizens will better understand the role, activities and service delivery of the institutions, and eventually this will result in increased public trust and a more positive image for the justice sector.
