Deputy Head of Mission / Chief of Staff

Katja Dominik (Germany) was appointed as Deputy Head and Chief of Staff of the EU Coordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support (EUPOL COPPS) on 21 July 2018.

Before joining EUPOL COPPS, Ms. Dominik served from 2017 as Head of the Executive Division and from 2011 as International Judge in EULEX Kosovo, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, where she tried cases of war crimes, organised crime and corruption.

As member of the technical working group for the implementation of the Brussels’ dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, she was engaged in the integration of Kosovo/Serbian judicial staff into the Kosovo judiciary.

From 2012 until 2016, she has been member of the Human Rights Review Panel in Kosovo.

Ms. Dominik has been assigned as judge at the District Court of Düsseldorf, Germany since 2002, where she specialises in the field of Criminal Law.

Katja Dominik holds a PhD. in Law from the University of Göttingen, Germany.
