Ministry of Justice staff concludes course in Legal English

13 Officials from the Palestinian Ministry of Justice were awarded certificates to endorse their completion of a course in Legal English, facilitated by EUPOL COPPS. The certificates were presented by the Palestinian Minister of Justice, H.E. Ali Abu Diak, the Deputy Minister of Justice, H.E. Mohammad Abu Sundus and the Acting Head of Mission, Mr. Giovanni Galzignato.

The Acting Head of Mission congratulated the students and highlighted the value of the language training: “This course has made you better equipped to read, write and speak English, with particular focus on legal matters. This will benefit your day to day work, when you read and write reports and when you interact with your counterparts in the international community.”

The objective of the 12-day course has been to heighten the Legal English skills of key Ministry of Justice staff members. The course began in January 2018 with weekly classes lasting three hours each. The last class took place on 24 April 2018. The course has been delivered by Ms. Reem Al-Botmeh from the Palestinian Birzeit University, to whom Mr. Galzignato extended the Mission’s thanks and appreciation.
