EUPOL COPPS staff members concluded today, Friday 09 June a four-day mentoring and advising course to further enhance their capabilities in different fields of expertise.
The specialized training, which was held in partnership with the European Security and Defence College and the German Federal Police College Lubeck, aims at sharing new developments and technics, improve skills such as communication, motivation and working with counterparts, in order to advance as mentors and advisors as well as improve our internal capacities on planning, evaluation and reporting.
During the four days of training, which included scenario driven practical exercises, two trainers -- Markus Fielke (German Police College) and Irene Eich (ESDC) – showed the two dozen participants best ways to conduct mentoring and advising.
The attendees, who showed an interactive performance throughout the training period, will implement the acquired skills while executing their duties, internally and in interaction with Palestinian counterparts. The course is certified by the ESDC.
