From 18 to 22 March 2017, EUPOL COPPS facilitated a study trip to Jordan for four Palestinian judges and one chief prosecutor. The objective was for the attendees to familiarize with the Jordanian experience and knowledge in the field of judicial inspection.
During the four-day event, the representatives from the Judicial Inspection Department of the High Judicial Council and the Attorney General Office exchanged views with Jordanian counterparts on the latest techniques in conducting judicial inspection.
The aim of the study trip, which included visits to courts in the cities of Al-Zarqa, Al-Salt, Amman and to the Jordanian Judicial Inspection Department, is to further empower the Palestinian justice institutions to effectively perform assigned roles and responsibilities.
The Jordanian experience is very relevant as both Jordanians and Palestinians are sharing similar legislations.
