EUPOL COPPS delivers training to Palestinian police motorcyclists

On  02 March 2017, EUPOL COPPS police advisers delivered a training for 30 Palestinian police officers who use motorcycles to check vehicles. During the two-day training, which was held in the Jericho-based Palestinian Academy for Police Sciences, the instructors showed the participants the best international practice to perform a number of activities, such as vehicle checks, safety measures during interventions, arrest techniques, hand cuffing and self defense.

By the end of March, another 40 police officers will undergo a similar training, along with two trainers from the Traffic Administration. The Palestinian Civil Police relies heavily on motorbikes to ease traffic congestion  in major West  Bank cities.
