EUPOL COPPS holds a workshop on Criminal Investigation

On 15 February 2017, EUPOL COPPS held a workshop on Criminal Investigation for 18 Palestinian police officers.

The eight-member team of the Mission advisors, who have a long experience in investigating serious crimes in different European countries, exchanged information with Palestinian investigators on latest international investigation techniques and shared with their interlocutors best practices.

The event, which was held in Ramallah, will be followed by another four workshops in other West Bank districts. The aim of the activity was to enhance the capabilities of the Palestinian Civil Police in combating crime. During the meeting, the two parties also discussed training needs and equipment needed to carry out a comprehensive investigation in line with international standards.

The overall aim is to enable all the 11 districts to get the necessary know-how in conducting a professional investigation.
