Workshop on Code of Conduct for Palestinian Police

From 13 to 15 February 2017, EUPOL COPPS and the Palestinian Civil Police  (PCP) held a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on the Code of Conduct for 11 officers representing the districts of the West Bank.  The three-day event, which was organized in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), targeted the officers who work for the political and guidance department and was delivered by the PCP training administration.

The PCP penned the curriculum in close coordination with EUPOL COPPS Mission. The training will be enrolled in all 11 districts in March, and will continue until all PCP officers are trained on the Code of Conduct.

The training is meant to further enhance the accountability within the Police, an area of the utmost importance for EUPOL COPPS Mission and for the Palestinian citizens. In that aspect, the PCP has established three internal watchdog bodies to  ensure full transparency and accountability.
