EUPOL COPPS supports training for 11 Palestinian prosecutors in Amman

On the 8th - 12th of May EUPOLCOPPS Mission supported a training   for 11 prosecutors specialised in economic crimes at the Judicial Institute of Jordan in Amman.

The four-day training, which was concluded on Thursday, focused on intellectual property  and was composed of topics such as trade marks, patents and publication rights. It also included legal arguments for adjudication and practical exercises.

The training was opened by the Director of the institute, Dr. Thaer Al Audwan and the Attorney General of Palestine, Dr. Ahmed Barak. They both expressed their gratitude for EUPOLCOPPS support. EUPOLCOPPS was represented by Head of Rule of Law Section Giovanni Galzignato, who gave a short speech on behalf of the Head of Mission.

Two prominent lecturers -- Advocate Osama Al Bitar  Head of the Regional Office of the Arab Federation for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and Judge Hisham Tarawna – delivered the training.
